ISOSCELES

I spent a long time trying to separate my mind from my body. There was a time where my thoughts were particularly toxic and those voices destroyed my body.

Trying to divide the good things in my life from the bad. This represents the darkness in my mind which took over the good in my life. Fixated on attempting to not be happy as I was scared of the feeling being taken away too quickly. It wasn’t until a lot later I realised that we need both good and bad experiences to grow. Trying to cut out one or the other was unhealthy, especially as I attempted to discard the good.
The negative space within the design, (the triangles), is to represent the good being taken away and instead darkness was left to descend. When it comes to the style of the design, it is inspired by traditional blackwork tattoos, featuring extremely bold lines and lots of black.
